My favourite part of my job is helping women to have the best experience possible during pregnancy and the postpartum period.

It’s such an intense time, full of excitement, anxiety, joy, and fear—lots of highs and lows. It’s also challenging and exhausting. I believe, having been through two pregnancies myself, that new mothers deserve the best care possible. You have the most important job in the world, and no one should have to do it without all kinds of support. I’m here to support your health.

When I was thirty I decided to change careers and went back to school to study Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. One of my favourite instructors used to say that pregnancy and the immediate postpartum period is a time when a woman can transform her health, or sort of reset her basic constitution. I thought this was an interesting idea, but I didn’t really understand it until I had my first child. There is so much growth and change that happens in your body, your mind, and your emotions during this crazy transition to motherhood. People often talk about “getting back to normal” after the birth of a baby, but the reality is that it’s impossible: there is a new normal. My passion is making sure that it’s a better one.

Throughout my own pregnancies I realized what a powerful tool acupuncture can be for women during this amazing journey. Not only is it a great way to manage the physical discomforts of pregnancy and prepare your body for giving birth, it also helps bring the mind, body, and emotions back into alignment so that true healing can occur. Since then I’ve done extra training in the areas of pregnancy and postpartum care.

I love getting to know my clients so that I can fully understand their individual challenges and goals. My goal is to provide holistic care (an approach that addresses both the emotional and physical aspects of your health) that is tailored to your unique needs. I really believe that when you take care of yourself and feel your best, you’ll have more energy, more enthusiasm, and more love to give to those around you.
